Wider Leadership

Most of the money will go into running costs for the church - building rent, equipment, teas and coffees for after the service, and so on.

We also set aside a portion to be invested in outreach and blessing both our local and wider communities. Examples of this could be events, giveaways, or donations.

Part of being good stewards with what God gives us is setting aside enough money that we have a healthy reserve. That means that if the church or any of its members go through a time of extreme need, we will be able to help.

Decision-making process

When crucial decisions or significant changes are necessary, we initially present them to the Church Board. This team seeks divine guidance and carefully assesses the various options available. Should they feel that a specific course of action is appropriate, depending on the topic, the proposal is then presented to either the departmental leader/s or the church members/congregation for broader discussion and consideration. If required, a vote is conducted to determine whether to proceed with the proposed action.

This process ensures that all decisions are made with comprehensive input and alignment at every level of the church hierarchy, fostering unity and collective agreement within the congregation. By engaging both the leadership team and departmental leaders before involving the church members, we ensure thorough scrutiny and thoughtful consideration of each proposal, promoting informed and collaborative decision-making.
